Mr. John Schwartz, age 76, of Damascus and formerly of the Sand Hills of Hummelstown, PA, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Miller Nursing Home.

Mr. Schwartz was born in Erie, PA, on June 3, 1931. He was the son of the late Ralph and Cora Allen Schwartz. He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Steelton, PA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Hershey, PA.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m. in the Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home in Hummelstown, PA, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Fishburn Cemetery in Hershey, PA.

Survivors include one daughter, Doreen K. Worsley and husband, Robert, Damascus; one brother, Ralph Schwartz, St. Augustine, FL; one sister, Virginia Hinz, Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter, Erica Schwartz Weary, wife of Zethan Weary, Mechanicsburg, PA; and one great-grandson, Tyler Weary, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. in Hummelstown, PA was in charge of arrangements.
